Administrative Assistant – Marshall University School of Pharmacy
Marshall University is a public comprehensive university founded in 1837, located in downtown Huntington, WV, with additional campuses. The School of Pharmacy seeks an Administrative Assistant to support daily operations, budget management, personnel processes, travel coordination, academic scheduling, and graduate admissions within the department.
Position Details
Manage day‑to‑day clerical, fiscal, and administrative functions.
Prepare, submit, summarize, and communicate budget information; manage purchasing and compliance with state and university policies.
Support employment administration and human resources functions, serve as point of contact with HR, manage payroll and leave audits.
Arrange and coordinate travel for staff, faculty, students, and guests.
Participate in teaching schedule preparation and room assignments; input courses and assignments into Banner.
Act as the primary contact for graduate admissions and serve on graduate admission committees.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
Location & Salary Location: MU – Marshall University Salary Range: $28,777 to $37,410 per year Salary Grade: 2 – Full‑time (non‑exempt, FT .53 or greater)
Qualifications
Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined.
Required:
Associate’s Degree or vocational school certificate; 1–2 years of professional administrative/clerical experience; excellent written and oral communication; strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills; ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks with professionalism and judgment.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree.
