Job Responsibilities
Provide students with the course syllabus, grading/attendance policy, and other relevant information in a timely manner. Relate instructional materials, discussions, examples, and illustrations. Maintain pace of the course over the academic term. Deliver timely assessments and return results promptly. Align assessments with course objectives and follow department and college grading policies. Utilize appropriate instructional technology. Create a positive learning environment that optimizes student performance. Submit reports on time, practice effective class management, prioritize duties, and use time wisely. Adhere to class schedules, meet with students, provide effective classroom/lab supervision, and maintain accurate records. Handle students’ work and records professionally, and perform additional duties as required. Minimum and Additional Requirements
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, or Exercise Science; Doctorate in Medicine or Chiropractic; Master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Biology, Anatomy, or Physiology-related coursework, plus documentation supporting instruction of the A&P curriculum. Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of higher‑education principles and the college’s mission, goals, and objectives. Highly organized, skillful record‑keeping and confidentiality. Collaborative nature with demonstrated problem‑solving, communication, and critical‑thinking skills. Basic computer literacy and Microsoft Office proficiency. Community‑college teaching experience preferred. Additional Comments
