Join PENN Entertainment as a part‑time Security Officer and help keep guests, staff, and property safe and secure at our high‑energy casino. This role involves monitoring the premises, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

Perform duties mandated by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), including gaming-related drops, card and dice reconciliation, inspection, cancellation, and destruction.

Transport locked chip carriers and documents to and from the Chip Bank.

Use alertness, diligence, and specified procedures to protect guests, property, and staff from danger and security risks.

Patrol buildings and grounds of the facility, stand watch at assigned security posts, and oversee the comfort, safety, and security of our guests.

Examine various points of entry to determine security.

Conduct inspections to ensure equipment and facilities are safe.

Report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and unsecured security doors promptly.

Guard against theft of company property.

Greet all guests and staff positively, friendly, and professionally.

Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at plant entrances to maintain orderly flow.

Assist in preventing overconsumption of alcohol in compliance with Hollywood Casino’s responsibility.

Represent the company at internal and external meetings and events professionally.

Demonstrate performance in Communications, Initiative/Problem Solving, Guest Service/Interpersonal Relations, Work Habits, Conduct, and Responsible Gaming/Business Ethics.

Ensure all interactions with guests follow the customer service program guidelines.

Adhere to all Corporate and local policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience; six months to one year of related experience is preferred.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write simple correspondence.

Effective communication skills with customers and employees.

Common sense application of written, oral, or diagram instructions.

Problem‑solving skills for standardized situations involving several concrete variables.

Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet PGCB credentialing requirements.

Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
