Position Details
The Department of Film, Animation and New Media in the College of Arts & Letters at The University of Tampa invites applications for part‑time instructors to teach courses in Screenwriting.
Responsibilities
Teach one or more 4‑hour courses per semester in Screenwriting.
Utilize the department syllabus and course assignments, with meeting times and specific reading and writing assignments for students within the departmental guidelines and program mission.
Manage online‑paperwork grading system.
Qualifications
Master of Fine Arts degree in Screenwriting, or Film/Cinema related areas is preferred.
Experience in Screenwriting is preferred.
College teaching experience in related areas is preferred.
Required Attachments
Cover Letter Detailing Qualifications, Experience and Interest in the Position.
Curriculum Vitae.
Screenplay Samples: at least one of Candidate's and Students'.
Links to Online Films: Written, Directed, or Created by Candidate (if available).
Additional Information Applications for part‑time positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term‑by‑term basis which may include fall, spring and summer.
