Position Summary The primary purpose of this position is to advance the research of Dr. Anthony Vaccaro at the Winston Center on Technology and Brain Development. The assistant will assist with studies examining neural and emotional responses to social media content. Responsibilities include participant recruitment, data collection, data management, handling functional near‑infrared spectroscopy and eye‑tracking equipment, assisting undergraduate research assistants, and managing study protocols. The assistant also ensures compliance with protocols and objectives.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience from an accredited institution.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with research methodologies and protocols

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Strong problem‑solving skills

Basic computer skills in OSX and Windows operating systems

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

Experience working in a person‑facing role (human research, clinical settings, customer‑service, or any role that requires participant comfort)

Previous experience with data collection in research or clinical settings

Strong organizational and project‑management skills

Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R)

Previous coding experience (e.g., Python, MATLAB)

Familiarity with neuroimaging methods
