Responsibilities
Under general supervision, performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities.
Maintains supplies as needed.
Cleans and straightens assigned areas.
Collects, sorts, launders, transports and distributes linens and uniforms.
Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition.
Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed.
May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair.
Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse.
Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment.
Participates in making, marking, altering and mending of clothing, linens, and other items.
Presses and stores all linens.
Qualifications
One (1) year of experience in a related area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 1 (FES040) or position equivalent.
