Job Description
Your Impact as a Kennel Manager
Act as the primary trainer for new and current kennel staff while continuing to work alongside them in daily kennel duties.
Facilitate communication between kennel staff and hospital leadership, promptly bringing forward questions, concerns, or problems.
Provide day-to-day guidance, helping keep kennel staff on track and coordinating deep cleaning and organization projects as time allows.
Answer staff questions regarding protocols, policies, and procedures, offering support and clear instructions in a respectful manner, providing coaching or guidance when appropriate.
Model professionalism and foster a supportive team culture through positive communication and teamwork.
Maintaining the employee schedule for the kennel staff.
Provide Personalized Care: You'll be the primary caregiver for our boarding and daycare pets, ensuring they receive the correct food, exercise, and attention to make their stay comfortable and safe.
Be the Eyes and Ears of Animal Health: You'll carefully monitor the behavior and habits of the animals in your care, promptly notifying the medical team of any unusual health concerns.
Create a Safe and Healthy Environment: You'll take pride in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the entire resort, from the kennel areas and runs to the outside grounds.
Ensure Operational Excellence: You'll keep the resort running smoothly by managing inventory for food and cleaning supplies and collaborating with the team to ensure all tasks are completed.

Previous experience as a kennel assistant is preferred. A flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays, is required.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of hospital and kennel procedures.
Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude.
Promote efficiency, cleanliness, and organization within the kennel.
Support hospital leadership by ensuring communication flows effectively between staff and management.
