Are you a dedicated professional with experience in security services? IronRock Security is seeking a reliable and experienced unarmed security officer to join our team and a Wawa location in Maplewood, NJ.

Unarmed Security Officer
Location:
Maplewood, NJ
Shifts available
Part time; Weekends a MUST
Friday - Saturday 11:00pm-7:00am
Sundays-3pm-11pm
Pay Rate:
$17-18/hour
Responsibilities
Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the Wawa premises to ensure the safety and security of the property.
Monitor surveillance equipment and alarms to detect and respond to any suspicious activities or incidents.
Provide assistance to customers and employees as needed, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
Report any security breaches, safety hazards, or unusual incidents to appropriate authorities and supervisors.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state regulations regarding security operations.
Requirements
Previous experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
Valid New Jersey Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) license.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Excellent observational and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
