We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.## Summary:Dedicated to the preservation of indoor and, more importantly, outdoor structures and equipment to support the long-term operation of the facility. Performs cleaning functions and operates and maintains mobile equipment. Assigned duties may include sweeping, shoveling, painting, housekeeping, and some minor repairs of equipment. Maintains records, receipts. Completes inspections as assigned.## ## Essential Functions:* Sweeps, shovels, moves ash or other material from within the facility. Washes down equipment in facility as assigned, empties wastebaskets, etc.* Will be responsible for painting at the facility, to maximize the life of facility and equipment and to maintain a positive public image.* Operates and maintains mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner including transporting small equipment or tools between departments.* Accurately follows instructions and procedures.* Takes ownership of assigned facility areas and successfully maintains responsibilities independently.* Demonstrates awareness and responsibility for environmental issues and hazards while working at all times.* Uses effective communication and interpersonal skills including successful cooperation with all departments.* Perform the following duties without guidance or supervision:* Open vessels and equipment access doors.* Placing and removing furnace access equipment.* Placing and removing overhead protection and staging equipment.* Works overtime and rotating shifts as may be required by Facility Management.* Maintains records, receipts, etc. and completes inspections as necessary.* Completes the Corporate and Facility Training Programs within the time frame prescribed.* Follows standard safety procedures, corrects safety and environmental hazards, and reports them to the Shift Supervisor immediately. Reads, understands, and applies information such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.* Communicates clearly and concisely and clearly when using in-situ intercom system, two- way radio or face to face.* Anticipates typical problems, identifies potential or recurring problems, and takes appropriate action. Troubleshoots equipment and assists in diagnosing problem areas.* Operates other equipment including, but not limited to, industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid steer type loaders, and other mobile equipment.* Performs other duties as assigned.## Education/Experience:* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.* Prior experience using hand tools successfully.* Applies mechanical knowledge and skills sufficient to perform routine tasks such as opening vessels and equipment access doors, placing and removing furnace access equipment, overhead protection and staging, operating power tools and performing minor repairs to facility equipment and structures.## Supervision Received:* Perform job duties within prescribed standards. Minimal supervision necessary once varied tasks are mastered.## Computer Skills:* None required.## Teamwork/Cooperation:* Share expertise with others.* Initiative to work independently.* Support teamwork and cooperation.* Manage stressful situations professionally.* Maintain a positive attitude.* Enhance facility morale.* Accept both positive and negative constructive feedback from others.* Demonstrate respect and sensitivity for cultural/work style and learning style differences.* Treat people with respect.* Work ethically and with integrity at all times.* Focus on solving conflict/problems.* Listen to situation/problems and check for clarity and gain clarification. #J-18808-Ljbffr
