Job Overview We are currently looking for a Night Auditor to join our Front Desk Team! Our Hampton Inn with 107 guest rooms is located off I-287/I-95 in South Plainfield, a half-mile from Hadley Center and 10 minutes from Piscataway. Rutgers University – New Brunswick is six miles away and we’re close to a variety of corporate offices. The New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center is nine miles away and we’re 30 minutes from Newark Airport. We serve a daily hot complimentary to all our guests. A great place to stay – a great place to work. The Hampton Inn is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award‑winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates.
Responsibilities
Greeting guests, completing the check‑in/check‑out procedure through the Property Management System while obtaining and storing pertinent information.
Handles cash, credit card information and goods at the property.
Identifying the needs of each guest and providing relevant information regarding hotel services and amenities to create an accommodating environment. Respond to all guest requests in a timely manner.
Taking reservations from incoming callers, inputting all pertinent information into the hotel management system, and updating or canceling reservations as requested.
Organizing previous shift paperwork, closing and balancing all room accounts and vouchers, investigating and analyzing out of balance situations, running trial balance reports and night audit.
Qualifications
Customer Service experience, in a hotel setting preferred.
Hilton experience is a plus.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Computer knowledge including intranet, Property Management System, Word, and Excel is strongly preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving history subject to company approval.
Typical Schedule: Overnights, 11 PM‑7 AM; weekend availability needed.
