We are seeking a motivated and dependable
Food Service Worker
to join our team at
Home of the Innocents . The ideal candidate will have experience preparing, serving, and cleaning food items in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to providing high quality meals and can work well with a team.
A Day in the Life As a
Food Service Worker
you will help prepare and serve food while adhering to federal, state, and local standards and regulations, and ensure that quality food service is always maintained by following established policies and procedures.
Shifts Available
Full time; hours will vary by department needs
Rotating weekend shifts will be required
How This Position Contributes to our Mission
Ensure daily that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
Daily prep of meal items as directed by Cook or Assistant Director of Food Services.
Complete necessary paperwork, forms, reports, and data collections, including temperature logs, as mandated by state and local authorities, daily.
Maintain cleanliness in work areas by adhering to established cleaning schedules, ensuring equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored or turned off before departure each day.
Adhere to all HACCP procedures, including proper hand washing, safe handling of potentially hazardous foods, and monitoring critical control points, as part of daily routines.
Assist with departmental projects as assigned or required.
Skills and Qualifications
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English.
Must have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
Must have the ability to adapt to the needs of the residents, staff, and visitors.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Serv‑Safe certification is preferred.
