More than just a job, this opportunity with Monarch will give you room to spread your wings and grow because we believe in promoting from within and developing future leaders.# **Job Highlights:****Minimum Requirements:*** Certification in Special Education: EC General Curriculum (K–12) or Cross-Categorical (K–12)* 1 year of experience working with children/adolescents with a mental health diagnosis and/or substance use disorder* Valid North Carolina teaching license (Out-of-state teaching license - *must be in process of attaining North Carolina teaching license*)## **Other Preferred Qualifications*** Knowledge related to IEP development and special education compliance, behavioral strategies and trauma-informed education* Knowledge of curriculum and/or program development and evaluation# **This Opportunity:**The primary responsibilities of the Academic Teacher, Crisis Services is to provide consistent, individualized education that ensures students continue making academic progress while also supporting their emotional, behavioral and therapeutic needs.# **What You'll Do:*** Deliver academic instruction aligned with state standards and/or students’ IEPs/504 plans* Support social-emotional and behavioral needs of students served* Complete documentation timely and accurately* Develop and implement IEP plans as needed utilizing testing and assessment data* Maintain student records in alignment with regulatory procedures* Assist with reintegration into home schools* Maintain training as required and requested* Complete all other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor* Driving and travel may be required## # **Education We're Looking For:**Bachelors: Education (Required)# **Certifications We're Looking For:**Valid North Carolina teaching license in Special Education: EC General Curriculum (K–12) or Cross-Categorical (K–12) - North Carolina Department of Public Instruction# **Experience We're Looking For:**Experience working with children/adolescents with a mental health diagnosis and/or substance use disorder| 1 year| Required# **Schedule:**Monday - Friday (8am-5pm)# **Target Weekly Hours:**40# **Monarch is an Equal Opportunity Employer**Monarch offers opportunities as diverse as the people we support and the communities we serve.
