Primary Purpose Part Time: 10:30 - 2:30 Monday - Friday
The Cafeteria Monitor is responsible for supervising and assisting young children during meal times to ensure a safe, orderly, and positive cafeteria environment. This position supports student well-being by promoting appropriate behavior, assisting with basic needs, and ensuring campus safety procedures are followed.
Qualifications Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience working with young children preferred
Ability to follow district policies and campus procedures
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and administrators
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to supervise and manage student behavior in a large, fast-paced environment
Knowledge of age-appropriate behavior expectations and child development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and staff
Ability to enforce campus rules consistently, fairly, and respectfully
Awareness of student safety procedures, including emergency response and allergy precautions
Dependability and ability to remain calm, observant, and attentive at all times
