Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media including technology to meet the needs and capabilities of each student assigned* Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to modify regular curricula as needed and assist special education students in regular classes with assignments.* Implement an instructional, therapeutic, or skill development program for assigned students and show written evidence of preparation as required.* Participate in ARD Committee meetings on a regular basis.* Participate in selection of books, equipment, and other instructional media.* Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to modify regular curricula as needed and assist special education students in regular classes with assignments.* Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.* Update monitoring tools to ensure accurate evaluation of scholar progress toward goals.* Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop IEP through the ARD Committee process for each student assigned.* Develop meaningful relationships with families and partners as it relates to scholars on their caseload.* Plan and assign the work of teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and oversee completion.* *Participate in team member training and development sessions to improve job-related skills.** *Keep informed of and comply with federal, state, district, and school regulations and policies for special education teachers.*****Preferred Qualifications***** 1+ years experience delivering rigorous and engaging instruction in a K-12 setting* English Language Learner Endorsement* Must have or be eligible for certification by OSPI with an endorsement in Special Education* Must have or be eligible to obtain a food handler certification* Competitive pay and generous paid time off package including paid holidays, vacation and personal time;* Up to $10,500 in financial support towards a teacher certification preparation program;* Medical, dental, vision, long-term disability benefits;* Retirement account with employer contributions;* Free mental health support + more through our employee assistance program;* Growth pathways for increased levels of leadership #J-18808-Ljbffr
