What You’ll Do
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols, both inside the facility and around the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas within the healthcare location to help deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Assist with controlling access to restricted areas and verifying identification as required by site-specific protocols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, patients, and visitors, providing information and assistance as needed.
Prepare detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities to support site operations.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders as directed during incidents and/or drills.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly report security-related hazards or potential threats within the healthcare environment.
Minimum Requirements
An armed guard card or license is required.
High school diploma or GED is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Drug screen as permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state laws and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
