Job Description We are seeking a long-term substitute teacher for 5th ELA / 4th SS for 6 weeks beginning on October 9, 2025. Qualified candidates will have K/1-8, Pk-5, or 4-9 ELA and Social Studies license. Our District serves over 2200 students in Preschool through 12th grade and employs more than 300 staff members (187 certified). We offer competitive salaries and benefits. Located off of I-71, we are within easy reach of Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus.
The District provides a rich professional development program with ongoing support for our staff. Teachers are trained in Trauma Informed Care, Restorative Practices, and Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports (PBIS). Teachers have additional supports through Instructional, Math, Behavior, and Literacy Coaches. The Wilmington City School district encourages all staff and students to support a diverse and inclusive environment in which to work, teach, and learn. We are seeking staff members who are culturally responsive and embrace inclusion.
