General Job Description

Position Summary This entry-level role supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in newly constructed residential buildings. Working under the supervision of licensed plumbers, Plumbing Helpers gain valuable hands‑on experience while ensuring that all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and local codes.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the installation of residential plumbing systems including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and appliances.

Perform both rough‑in and trim‑out plumbing tasks under supervision.

Follow blueprints, specifications, and local building codes.

Support licensed plumbers with testing and inspection of systems to ensure functionality and code compliance.

Retrieve, transport, and organize materials, tools, and equipment needed for daily job tasks.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, tools, and work areas.

Communicate effectively with team members and follow directions from supervisors and foremen.

Collaborate with other trades and construction teams to support timely project execution.

Observe and adhere to all safety protocols, promptly reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.

Learn and apply best practices through on‑the‑job training and observation of licensed professionals.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening and background check.

Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn the plumbing trade.

Punctual, dependable, and self‑motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Basic understanding of plumbing systems and construction safety principles (prior experience is a plus).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physically able to bend, stoop, crouch, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, and work on ladders and scaffolds.

Willing to travel to various job sites throughout the Dallas‑Fort Worth area as needed.
