Bartenders provide excellent service to bar guests. They set‑up the bar area, prepare and mix beverages, serve customers, and maintain the cleanliness of the bar area.
Job Duties
Checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol (Essential)
Prepares and serves alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks as ordered, in a timely manner and in compliance with company standards (Essential)
Operates cash register and receives payment from customer in cash or credit card, and accurately counts and provides change to customers when applicable (Essential)
Monitors the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting the sale to those who are intoxicated. Orders taxis or other means of transportation for intoxicated patrons (Essential)
Operates in compliance with federal, state and local law requirements for serving alcohol (Essential)
Greets customers and takes beverage orders for guests from restaurant servers
Performs shift opening and closing duties as directed by the Restaurant Manager
Presents menus, takes orders and serves food to guests seated at the bar
Cleans, sanitizes and maintains bar area including counters and equipment
Prepares garnishes, stocks, and replenishes beverages and garnishment supply as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
6 months in previous bartending experience (Required)
Professional appearance
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
Must have a valid driver's license
Preferred Certifications/Licensures: TIPS Certification
