Tasks and Responsibilities
Set-up, maintain and troubleshoot local desktops, laptops, printers, conference/meeting & communication equipment, mobile devices, and related accessories at location(s) under responsibility.
Liaise with management for planning purchases and with local vendors / telecom providers for maintenance and replacements.
Manage lifecycle and disposal of obsolete devices.
Maintain updated stock and records (CMDB) of assets.
Monitor & maintain lifecycle of servers & equipment running local application & services at location(s) under responsibility.
Provide on demand ‘eyes & hands’ for equipment locally installed but centrally handled (e.g., network) in support. Timely respond to support requests from Infrastructure Operations.
Monitor backups & restore as needed.
Handle user interactions from walk-in services. Resolve problems with devices, equipment, software upon user request; guide users and interact with Helpdesk as required.
Support conferencing and video calls as requested.
Contribute to on-site and remote events as agreed with local management at location(s) under responsibility.
Support VIPs and related events as requested.
Provide support to audits as requested.
Ensure incidents and requests are logged and documented in Service system.
Analyse recurring issues, identify root causes and long-term solutions; interact with architects and operations to discuss.
Contribute and coordinate special activities such as office moves, migrations, equipment upgrades, pilot new technology.
Qualifications
Good understanding of Information Technology; trends, products, and solutions.
1+ years’ experience in a similar position supporting a variety of technologies and services.
In depth knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 7 & 10), Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications, PC/laptop hardware and peripherals (including printers) and mobile devices
Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange
ITIL certification and familiarity with the ServiceNow ticketing system is an advantage
Highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail
Customer focused with a passion to drive for customer satisfaction and delivering business values
A service-oriented mindset and always striving to deliver on tasks and projects
Ability to work independently as well as willing to follow directions and best practices
Great communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent
English
(written and spoken), German is a plus
Friendly, supportive, and flexible personality with quick learning ability
Good team player with planning, organising & multi-tasking skills
A driver's license and access to a car for occasional travel
Candidates must declare Criminal record extract not older than 3 months
