The stunning Forbes 4‑Star Conrad New York is looking for a Temporary Cook I to join the Culinary Team!
Stay inspired and join the pinnacle of luxury in the heart of Lower Manhattan, featuring 463 rooms, 30,000 square feet of banquet space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes a 3‑meal restaurant, rooftop bar, and in‑room dining
Classification:
Temporary (full‑time hours)
Shift:
Various – must be available weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Pay Range:
$32.77 - $43.70/hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
Union Position:
This position is part of Local 6 Union which requires complete open availability. We are not able to accommodate schedule restrictions and full‑time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedules are based on seniority and business needs and may be minimal at times until seniority is established. You must be comfortable with a schedule and hours that may vary from week to week.
Responsibilities
Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
