Plans, implements and evaluates educational programs related to breast feeding.Education: Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing requiredExperience: 2 years full-time (or equivalent) directly related clinical experienceSkills: Knowledge of techniques and the application of lactation theory. § Skill in written and oral communication § Skill in using computers and personal productivity applications § Ability to instruct and support patients § Ability to assess patients, plan effective interventions and evaluate outcomes from those interventions.Licensures, Certifications:* Current registration with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse.* IBCLC certification required* Healthcare Provider CPR biennial* Additional certifications (i.e. ACLS, PALS, NRP) for specialty care areas are required upon hire.Physical Requirements:* Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 80% of work time ·* Visual acuity, manual dexterity and physical mobility; hear and communicate orally. ·* Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking and lifting (Up to 20 lbs).Working Conditions* Normal patient care environment of the post-partum nursery area. ·* Routine exposure to body fluids.**Pay Range**$31.25 - $48.02Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.**Equal Employment Opportunity**GBMC HealthCare and its affiliates are Equal Opportunity employers.
