Strength and Conditioning Coach
for the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Program at Joint Base Lewis‑McChord (JBLM) in Washington state. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain communication lines within the Brigade (BDE) and Battalion (BN) leadership. Develop and recommend evidence‑based, periodized strength and conditioning programs tailored to unit missions and individual Soldier tasks. Submit recommended programs to BDE leadership for approval. Track Soldier/unit progression and provide data to the BDE Performance Development team as required. Coordinate and assist BDE leadership and/or BDE Athletic Trainers to develop, coordinate, and execute approved training programs for Soldiers with physical limitations. Education
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years or more of related experience; Master’s degree and one (1) year of related experience; four (4) years of experience can substitute for a degree. Skills
Interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity to work with Soldiers from diverse backgrounds. Experience with Microsoft applications and SharePoint sites. One year of related experience developing and implementing human performance training in a military or collegiate/professional sports environment. Physically able to hike in austere environments and terrains while carrying a backpack with necessary supplies on occasion (up to
20%
of the time). Physically able to lift and manipulate loads of weight plates up to 45 pounds. Ability to develop and deliver Strength and Conditioning programming using mobile app technology. Ability to support Mobile Training Teams up to
25%
of the time. Security Clearance
Eligible for a Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Salary Range
Target salary range: $40,001 – $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical range for this position based on experience and other factors. Overview
