At New Story Schools, we serve students ages 5–21 with autism and emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. As the Instructional Coach at New Story Schools, you will strengthen teaching practice through collaborative, student-centered coaching. Your work builds educator capacity, promotes high-quality instruction, and supports positive outcomes for all learners.

What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education or a related field

Valid Pennsylvania Instructional II Special Education certification

Experience supporting instructional practice through coaching or mentoring

Strong knowledge of standards-based instruction and curriculum alignment

Ability to build trust through non-evaluative, collaborative relationships

What You’ll Do

Coach teachers using observation, modeling, dialogue, and co-teaching practices

Support alignment of instruction with standards, curriculum, and assessments

Promote inclusive, engaging, student-centered learning environments

Provide professional development to increase educator effectiveness

Collaborate with school leaders to analyze data and support improvement planning
