What You’ll Do As an Entry Level Engineer, you will contribute to a variety of projects across multiple disciplines. Responsibilities include:

Performing design calculations and technical analyses

Drafting and designing/modeling using AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Revit, or other discipline specific software

Preparing plans, specifications, and project documentation

Conducting construction inspection/testing, administration, and field work

Participate in project meetings and communicating technical details

Writing technical reports and communicating project details effectively

Learning local, state, and federal project requirements

Project Types Your work will involve designing and managing projects such as:

Water, Sewer and Stormwater infrastructure

Roads & Highways

Subdivision and Commercial Site Development

Federal Government facilities (e.g., U.S. Air Force projects)

Building and Structure Design

Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Systems

Surveying Mapping, and Environmental Compliance

What We’re Looking For We are looking for motivated engineers who are passionate about design and problem solving. The ideal candidate will have:

B.S. in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Environmental, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) from an accredited university

EIT certification preferred, or ability to obtain within one year

Exceptional communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Strong technical writing & verbal communication skills

Attention to detail, quality, and meeting deadlines

Prior internship or related experience a plus

Location & Availability Entry‑Level opportunities are available in ALL TD&H offices:

Great Falls, MT | Kalispell, MT | Helena, MT | Bozeman, MT | Lewiston, ID | Twin Falls, ID | Spokane, WA | Watford City, ND | Media, PA

Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 annually (Excluding year‑end bonus), depending on experience, education, and qualifications.
