Compensation and Benefits Anticipated Hiring Salary: $5,858.67/month
This is a full‑time, exempt position. The Fresno State Athletic Corporation provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, participation in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), and sick and vacation time.
Employees are at‑will.
Job Summary Under the direction of the Head Soccer Coach, the Assistant Soccer Coach/Goalkeeper Coach assists in coaching the soccer team and promotes intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the university.
Key Qualifications
Clear knowledge of soccer, modern coaching methodologies, playing techniques, tactics and strategies, including goalkeeping responsibilities.
Excellent office and administrative skills with strong task orientation and timeline adherence.
Experience and understanding of recruitment and development of top athletes; international recruiting contacts a plus.
Team scouting, video and match analysis experience highly preferred.
Camp/Academy direction and coaching experience preferred.
Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
Ability to support the equity and diversity commitments of the department.
Professional and collegial cooperation with media, community, university and Athletic department staff and administration.
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree from an institution of higher education accredited by one of the six U.S. regional accrediting associations or a recognized equivalent international degree. Preferably in coaching, physical education, exercise science, psychology, teaching, pedagogy, or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience coaching and/or playing at the college level, preferably Division I or II, or coaching/playing semi‑professional or professional soccer. International experience a plus.
Experience and understanding of elite‑level sport, recruitment of top student‑athletes, facilitation of recruiting database, calendar and strategy; domestic and international recruiting contacts a plus.
