St. James Preschool (Littleton, CO) is seeking an early childhood teacher for our 3 year old class. The successful candidate must have experience working with preschoolers(2 1/2 through 5 years), an ECT credential and a passion for teaching and supporting children in all domains of their development.
Teachers are responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate, investigative curriculum within a loving faith-based environment. Fostering positive social/emotional development, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are priorities.
St. James uses Creative Curriculum, Conscious Discipline and The Pyramid Model as the foundational pieces of our preschool curriculum. We believe in the play-based model of early childhood education. We know that play is the process and learning is the outcome. Our smaller class sizes encourage individual attention in a nurturing environment. The 3 year old classroom has a maximum of 14 children and 2 teachers.
Our preschool is open from September through May. We follow the Littleton Public School schedule for breaks during the year. The hours for teachers are 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This position is a 5 day/week position. Pay is commensurate with experience and education. Starting pay is between $18-$24 per hour.
