Tamarack Foods is looking to hire a
full‑time Wastewater Technician
for
first shift . If you are a mechanically‑inclined self‑starter who isn’t happy being chained to a desk all day, read on!
Responsibilities
Perform lab testing for wastewater
Conduct routine and non‑routine analysis of the waste stream
Set up and perform advanced sample rounds for discharge permit requirements
Gather reliable data and record accurately into an electronic database
Retrieve data from the electronic database for weekly reports
Analyze data for deviations from normal operations and notify appropriate personnel
Understand and practice good laboratory safety practices as well as GMP requirements
Ensure continuous, cost‑effective treatment within city discharge permit limits
Assist with corrective actions if large spills or dumps occur
Interact with other facility areas, including Production, Quality, Safety, and Maintenance
Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance of associated equipment
Able to work overtime and weekend hours required
Follow Quality, Production and Safety policies
Must be able to stand on concrete for up to 10 hours, bend, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds
Perform other duties as required
Desired Background / Experience High School Diploma or GED. Maintenance experience preferred. Wastewater treatment experience required. Detail oriented and team player with a positive attitude.
