Duties/Responsibilities:
Receives orders from patrons and wait staff. Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered. Ensures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared before the bar's opening. Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized. Attractively displays glasses and liquor bottles. Keeps bar stocked. Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs. Collects money from customers for drinks prepared and served. Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive. Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service. Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers. Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons. Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant. Education and Experience:
Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training required. At least one year of related experience preferred. Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks. Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds. Must be legal drinking age or older. 401k Paid time off Health, life, dental, and vision insurance This hourly wage is based on the tip credit system, where a portion of your pay comes from customer tips. Your base wage plus tips must equal or exceed the wage of $15 per hour. If your combined tips and base wage do not meet the $15 minimum, we will make up the difference to ensure compliance. The pay range for this role is: 3.63 - 3.63 USD per hour (Ocean City, MD)
