Give children a head start! Education Assistant

This position is set to begin on February 2nd Work Scheduled for approximately 16-18 hours weekly Job Description Assist classroom staff with daily routine operations such as assisting with child drop-off and pick-up times, meal and snack preparation, school bus monitoring, and providing staff break times.

Pay Scale $17.30/hr.

Additional Benefits for Eligible Employees (25+ hours per week)

Paid Breaks include 1-week for Spring Break (March), 1-week for Fall Break (November), and 2- weeks for Winter Break (end of December/beginning of January)

$4,000 per year for Early Childhood Education Associates/Bachelor’s Degrees.

Requirements Must be able to lift/carry/manipulate up to 40 pounds.

Ability to work with multiple staff members in one setting

HS diploma or GED

Must obtain and maintain adult/infant CPR and first aid certification within 90-days of employment.

Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination, TB test, drug test (including marijuana), and background check in accordance with the Office of Head Start Performance Standards and Childcare Licensing. (Physical examination and TB test thereafter as required).

Must have access to reliable transportation with minimum liability insurance as determined by the State of Colorado; to perform functions of the job, including being able to go to another location during the workday if necessary.

Preferred

At least one year of successful work experience with children birth to age three and/or to age five.

Bilingual in English and Spanish languages

CACFP food training
