We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Guest Services team as an On‑Call Bell Attendant / Shuttle Van Driver. The ideal candidate uses an engaging personality to create a memorable first impression for our guests as they arrive and throughout their stay. As the Bell Attendant, you will assist with the unloading of guest luggage and provide knowledge about the hotel, its amenities, and the local area. The role also involves driving the hotel shuttle to transport guests to and from local destinations.
Scheduling This is an On‑Call/Part‑Time position. The role requires open availability to work shifts on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may be both AM and PM.
Your Role
Help guests discover their “Wanderlust” experience.
Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest.
Interact with all guests, welcoming each guest to our hotel.
If guests arrive by motor vehicle, open their door to welcome them.
Escort and orient guests to the front desk for check‑in.
Upon check‑in, escort guests and their luggage to their room, explaining amenities and fun facts about the hotel.
Work with other attendants to ensure each guest has a personalized experience.
Assist the lobby attendant in keeping the entrance area clean and organized.
Be the difference with all guests and employees, doing more than the norm.
Supportive Functions All associates may be asked to perform any other duties as requested by management to support other departments and operational requirements.
Qualifications
At least one year in a customer service role with high guest interaction; hospitality experience is a plus.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to solve problems when they arise.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Pleasant and helpful personality.
Must be able to work a full shift standing and moving between lobby, shuttle vans, guest rooms, and other hotel areas.
Strong desire to make an impact on others, with an outgoing engaging personality.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced setting and make decisions based on guest needs and hotel policies.
Move heavy luggage (up to 50 lbs.) and move carts weighing between 100 and 150 lbs. repeatedly during the shift.
Must be available for various shifts, including heavy weekends and holiday shifts.
Professional Licenses/Certifications
Valid and unexpired driver’s license with at least 3 years’ driving experience and a clean driving record.
