General Summary The Nondestructive Testing Sr Technician will independently perform inspections using advanced NDT techniques (Phased Array UT, CR, DR) to identify corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions according to specified criteria. The Sr Technician will perform inspections, interpret indications, report results per company requirements, communicate processes and results to customers, and assist in training apprentices.

Essential Job Functions

Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to company/customer safety standards, practices and legal regulations.

Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values.

Supervises apprentices on the job site.

Maintains advanced NDT certification.

Performs advanced NDT inspections for which certified.

Interprets and reports inspection results.

When required, writes or approves procedures in advanced NDT.

Trains and qualifies apprentices and technicians.

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 4 years experience in NDT field as a certified technician in at least two methods.

Certified to Level II in a minimum of two methods (UTPA, CR, DR, ET).

Optical Gas Imaging Certification.

Ability to work in Microsoft Word.

Ability to work with computers/computerized equipment.

Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.

Travel requirement: 0‑75%.

Ability to follow instructions.

Work Conditions

Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.

Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.

Working in plant/ shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.

Must wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.

May be at more than one job site in a day and must tolerate climate changes.

May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.

Must be able to walk and climb (except when performing non-field duties).

Clear speech and hearing to communicate effectively, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Vision or other powers of observation sufficient for investigations, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Manual dexterity sufficient for routine office duties, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Personal mobility and reflexes to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations.

Mobilize within a refinery or plant environment, including access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.

Maintain focus and multitask effectively.

Excellent communication skills.

Additional Job Description Anticipated compensation for this role is $58,240.00 - $83,200.00 per year plus benefits. Note: Disclosure as required by Cal. Lab. Code * 432.3 of the pay range for this role when being hired into our locations in California. Team reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and geography.
