Job Summary

As a Housekeeper at Benchmark Senior Living, you will keep the community clean and safe for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include laundering towels, bed linens, and resident personal laundry, as well as cleaning resident apartments. Principal Duties/Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, orderly laundry room and store chemicals per product or supervisor instructions. Follow standards for chemical use and emergency procedures when chemicals are misused. Handle biohazardous waste properly. Thoroughly clean assigned resident apartments as scheduled by supervisor. Clean bathrooms, including swabbing toilet bowls, cleaning sinks and bathtubs, wiping countertops, cleaning mirrors, and sterilizing floors. Vacuum all exposed areas fully, including edges. Empty and rinse (if necessary) wastebaskets. Clean kitchen areas comprehensively: wipe counters, clean under objects, mop kitchen floors. Wash windows as needed. Dust flat surfaces that are uncluttered and demonstrate care of residents’ belongings. Clean all common areas according to standards—including elevators, halls, landings, stairs, resident activity areas, lobbies, and model units—and other flat surfaces as scheduled or requested by supervisor. Check and touch up vacant units per assigned schedule. Maintain housekeeping and laundry carts in a clean, orderly manner. Notify supervisor when supplies are low for reorder. Maintain the cleanliness of public restrooms. Wash and dry all laundry, including residents’ personal laundry, using appropriate cleaning products for the type of wash. Fold linen and return to appropriate location. Required Equipment/Knowledge

Annual flu shot, COVID vaccinations/boosters, TB test, N95 respirator compliance, and personal protective equipment (nitrile gloves, gown, mask). Resident Mobility Assistance

Assists resident transfers, walking with gait belts, chair boosting, bed positioning, stair climbing, and managing agitation or aggressive behaviors with a safety‑first approach. Additional Considerations

Includes crouching, squatting, kneeling, and exposure to house pets. The role may involve exposure to needles and sharps; fine manipulation of hands/fingers is required. Employment Information
