Rockwood at Whitworth is looking for a motivated, compassionate, and caring individual to join our team as an
On-Call
Activity Assistant.
Pay Range $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
Shift Type On-Call
Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting the Director of Life Enrichment in providing quality activities for residents
Assist using current technology such as Zoom and premium television channels
Assist with on-and off-campus events
Accompany residents to on and off campus events
Assist as back-up to the Wellness Coordinator
Periodically drive residents to on and off campus events
Assist Transportation in gathering transportation information. Pre-trip/post-van inspections. Maintain a good driving record and keep a mileage log.
Assist in Memory Care using excellent customer service skills and knowledge of daily activities
Maintain confidentiality of all resident information
Adhere to all professional standards, policy and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements
Work cooperatively with supervisors and staff and maintain a good working relationship with all staff
Uphold the RRC values in all interactions
Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; three to six months related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working with senior adults in a retirement community setting
Ability to communicate with your team and our residents, keep order and enforce safety rules with large groups
Ability to perform program research, assist in planning programs and be comfortable with public speaking
Valid driver’s license and driving record
Experience driving a 10+ passenger van with a wheelchair lift preferred
Current CPR-First Aid card preferred
Ability to work independently as well as on a team
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
