Job Description Avionics Technician
As an Avionics Technician IV, you will use your skills and expertise to perform avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA, and company policies and regulations. You will be responsible for moderately complex installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics components, and for the maintenance of test equipment, tools, and manuals.
Responsibilities
Must have own tools in good working order.
Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings.
Advanced skills with moderately complex avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniques.
Preferred: Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL.
Ability to mentor and guide subordinates.
Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/or pitot static equipment.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ten or more years of relevant experience.
A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
