Put simply, if you’re looking for a new opportunity, this is a great place to grow your career.Key Responsibilities:* Executes and is responsible for basic alteration services (i.e. Hemming, patch and repair, tapering, etc.) and more technical alterations (e.g. Fitting/tailoring items other than jeans, where more technical equipment is necessary; detailed appearance altering processes.)* Exemplifies and possesses strong customer service skills to elevate our clients experience.* Educates and trains store teams on customer offerings and services provided by the Tailor Shop.Job Requirements:* Thorough understanding of denim industry and current/upcoming trends.* Understanding of textiles and fabrics with proven skills in sewing, tailoring and textile repair.* Awareness of design and details strong communication skills both internally and externally.Education:* Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred* Formal Training in apparel design preferredExperience:* Minimum of 3 years of sewing/tailoring experience and a strong knowledge of jeans construction* Thorough knowledge of machines used in the sewing of denim products.Physical Requirements:* While performing the duties of the job the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear, use hands to type and utilize the tools of tailor shop.* The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, lift, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.Schedule Requirements:* Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening and weekend shifts.## **EOE M/F/Disability/Vets**## ## **LOCATION**Portland, OR, USA## ## **FULL TIME/PART TIME**Full time**FILL DATE**This position is expected to be filled by 03/29/2026.##Our common thread: We're originals.From day one, we've been doing it our way — creating our own drumbeat and building something that's different from the rest.
