Job Summary EMBR is looking for a Budtender/Delivery Driver to join our team in La Mesa, CA! This is a full‑time position with the schedule to include weekends and holidays. The hours for this position will be 5‑8 hour shifts between the hours of 6:30 AM – 9:30 PM. A Budtender is expected to work three to five (3‑5) shifts per week and must be available weekends, weekdays, evenings, and holidays. In addition, you must have a clean driving record and a car that is 2015 or newer to be considered. Please do not apply if you cannot meet these requirements. The pay is $17 per hour plus tips. Mileage is reimbursed at $.70 per mile on each paycheck.

We are seeking talented individuals with a professional demeanor who love this industry. Applicants must have exceptional customer service skills and budtending experience inside a dispensary. In addition to greeting the customer into the sales area of the dispensary, the Budtender must be able to listen attentively, assess the needs of the customer and be able to educate and/or guide the customer on the benefits and differences of our products. Our Budtenders must be able to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service. A successful Budtender should be able to provide product information that best suits each customer, meet or exceed company standards, achieve sales goals and meet or exceed customers’ expectations. By achieving these standards, it allows customers to have confidence and loyalty to our brand. The Budtender is also required to maintain strict inventory and cash controls that prevent diversion and ensure complete compliance with State and Local requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below. Budtender Responsibilities

Greet all customers promptly and professionally upon arrival and departure

Provide excellent customer service by actively listening and guiding customers to products that best suit their needs

Educate customers on cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and related products

Maintain strong knowledge of current products, promotions, and industry trends

Operate POS systems accurately, including cash handling and transaction processing

Maintain strict inventory and cash control procedures to prevent diversion

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and Bureau of Cannabis Control regulations

Keep sales floor, POS counters, and workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked

Complete opening and closing duties, side work, cleaning, and restocking as assigned

Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and periodic deep cleanings

Maintain a clean, professional appearance and be punctual for all scheduled shifts

Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management

Delivery Driver Responsibilities

Safely and legally operate a company vehicle while obeying all traffic and driving laws

Deliver products from the dispensary to customer locations in assigned order

Maintain communication with customers regarding delivery times and delays

Provide customer service during deliveries, including explaining products and highlighting specials

Ensure the safety and security of products, vehicle, currency, and self at all times

Communicate delivery status, delays, and route completion with the Delivery Manager

Complete required delivery documentation, reports, and driver summaries accurately

Make route adjustments as needed due to traffic or schedule changes

Schedule and monitor vehicle maintenance as required

Assist with special projects, research & development initiatives, or other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.

Must be 21 years of age or over

Clean driving record required

Personal vehicle that is 2015 or newer required

Preferred budtending experience inside a dispensary

Excellent customer service skills

Excellent communication

Attention to detail

Precise math skills

Stress management/composure

Ability to stand for long periods

Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly

Must submit and pass a Department of Criminal Justice criminal background check (LiveScan)

Have a valid California medical recommendation and a valid California ID

Knowledge of marijuana strains, edibles, extracts and other current products on the market

English/Spanish speaking

Authorization to work in the United States
