Restaurant Server
– Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites, Indianapolis, IN
Hourly position with starting pay $9.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Serve ice water and/or coffee upon greeting the table.
Present menu to diners, suggest dinner courses, recommend appropriate wines, and answer questions regarding food preparation.
Write order on check or memorize it.
Relay order to kitchen or bar and serve courses from kitchen and service bars.
Garnish and decorate dishes before serving.
Serve patrons using dish at table on occasion.
Observe diners to fulfill any additional request and determine when the meal has been completed.
Calculate bill and accept payment or refer patron to cashier.
Replenish supplies and prepare for the next meal.
Take initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licenses / Certifications
Must have TIPS and Food Safety certifications.
Personality Traits
Friendly and warm greeting, excellent communication, reliable, detail‑oriented.
