In-Store Shopper – Prime Now
At Whole Foods Market, we’re committed to providing record‑setting grocery delivery services to our Prime Now customers. This fast‑growing program needs enthusiastic team members passionate about quality products and great customer service. As an In‑Store Shopper you will work on the Store Support team, preparing Prime Now orders for delivery and/or pickup, and shopping throughout the store for everyday goods such as food, household items, and more.
Availability Requirements
Schedules released up to 3 weeks in advance.
Average shifts 4–8 hours long.
Job Requirements
Comfortable using handheld mobile technology to fulfill orders.
Fulfills online orders efficiently, accurately, and with a sense of urgency.
Detail-oriented with strong product and order accuracy.
Eager to learn product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations.
Ability to keep staging area organized and free of clutter.
Willingness to work in other departments (e.g., customer service, cashier, grocery) as required.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 18 years old.
Basic English reading and speaking skills.
Can lift up to 40 pounds, stand/walk for at least 6 hours, and perform common motions such as push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Lifts up to 50 pounds.
Standing/walking 6–8 hours, sitting 1–4 hours per 8‑hour shift.
Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Movements: bending, twisting, squatting, reaching.
Exposure to FDA‑approved cleaning chemicals and extreme temperatures (below freezing, refrigerated, or heated above 90°F).
Requires flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Tool and equipment proficiency (box cutters, electric pallet jacks, heavy machinery).
May require ladder use.
The wage range for this position is $16.00–$25.40 per hour, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers “Whole Benefits,” which may include health insurance, retirement plan benefits, a store discount, paid time off, and other benefit programs. Eligibility is determined by the applicable Whole Benefits plan at the employee’s hiring date.
New entry‑level team members who successfully complete their first 90 days of employment and remain actively employed in an eligible role may be eligible for a base rate increase after their 90‑day anniversary.
