Position Summary
Responsible for assisting physician in patient care, performing all necessary x-rays with high quality, escorting patients to rooms, and maintaining x-ray records. Operates the C-ARM for spinal injection procedures.
Position Responsibilities/Standards
Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns
Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow staff members
Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary
Attend required annual in‑service program, training and/or required CEU’s
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures
Consistently demonstrate attention to detail in documentation, recording and patient information
Adhere to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment; identify potentially unsafe situations and notify supervisor
Specific Duties
Prepare patients for x‑ray
Perform x‑rays as required by physicians
Perform C‑ARM procedure
Document procedure performed
Communicate with physicians, patients and staff
Ensure equipment is maintained properly
Answer patient questions
Help turn over rooms (mopping floors, taking out garbage, wiping down equipment)
Other duties delegated by provider, management, and RN
Education/Experience Required
Must be AART and/or Ohio Radiography license
Physical Requirements Physical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and/or feel objects. Must be able to climb, pull, push and kneel. Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs. Average lift 25‑50 lbs.
