Grill Cook
for the WakeMed Raleigh Cafe (3000 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh, NC). The position is available both full‑time and part‑time, with day or night shifts. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour. No prior experience is required. Online applications only.
Job Summary Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with current federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring high‑quality service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Takes orders, prepares items quickly, and completes orders from steam tables; serves customers at multiple stations.
Serves customers efficiently and friendly, following established service steps; ensures food temperature, appearance, and taste meet standards.
Uses ticket‑collection procedures during service; maintains accurate records.
Applies approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
Transfers pans, kettles, and trays between workstations, stove, and refrigerator while adhering to safety standards.
Stores foods in designated areas, following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
Addresses customer concerns and reports relevant information to supervisors.
Attends in‑service and safety meetings.
Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
Performs the job safely while keeping a clean, safe environment.
Assists with other duties as assigned.
