Porter (Building) – 1090 Amsterdam Avenue, Mount Sinai West (Full Time/Evenings 4pm-12am Mon‑Fri)
Performs a variety of cleaning and housekeeping duties for MSMC Residential Realty buildings and is responsible for the overall cleaning of apartments and common areas.
Responsibilities
Assists the Superintendent and Handyperson with repairs as needed.
Assists the above team with emergency work and/or special assignments assigned by the Superintendent.
Performs general cleaning of vacant apartments in preparation for new tenant move‑in.
Cleans appliances in apartments (stove, refrigerator, etc.) after tenant move‑out.
Cleans common areas of the building, including sweeping and mopping of floors in hallways, lobby areas and laundry room facilities.
Bundles and removes all garbage and recyclables to designated sidewalk locations for Department of Sanitation pickup.
Maintains a neat appearance and wears uniform at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent GED. Good command of the English language (read, write, and understand instructions in English).
Some general work experience.
Compensation The Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range of $30.94 per hour for this role. Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and operational need.
