Courier/DOT-2 – Federal Express Corporation
The Courier/DOT-2 role is for a Driver / Operator of company vehicles responsible for courteous and efficient delivery and pick‑up of packages. The successful candidate will perform shipments checks for conformance to FedEx service features and provide related customer service functions, along with other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Operate assigned company vehicle safely and courteously.
Deliver and pick‑up packages in accordance with FedEx service standards.
Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
Provide customer service functions related to shipment delivery.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Licensed to operate the type of vehicle assigned.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment or assistance.
Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
Neat appearance suitable for customer contact.
Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
Requires a medical exam in compliance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position; must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions.
Preferred Qualifications Pay range: $24.21 – $35.25 per hour. The range reflects the current starting salary for the role across all potential locations. Actual starting pay will be determined by experience, market level, location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential and are offered health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Schedule Monday – Friday between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm.
