BREAKFAST COOK/BAKER (FULL TIME)

Job Summary:
Prepares baked goods according to recipes and production specifications.
Responsibilities
Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets; assists in production planning to meet daily requirements.
Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and using proper equipment.
Assist with the completion of production records to include waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages; inform supervisor when supplies are low.
Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within the work area.
Handle food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service.
Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments; keep display equipment clean and free of debris.
Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, customer‑service oriented manner; relay concerns directly to supervisors.
Consistently exhibit the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.
Check to ensure that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards.
Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed.
Complete shift work, as assigned, in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with department standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Prior experience as a breakfast cook and/or baker strongly preferred.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Experience with food safety and sanitation standards.
Schedule and Location Location: Donlin Gold – 201 Post Road, Anchorage, AK 99501. Schedule: Full time with rotational shift options (4x2, 3x3, or 2x2). Pay: $19.00–$21.00 per hour.
