Delivery Driver (non CDL) at American Tire Distributors. Primary focus is the delivery of product to customers, ensuring customer satisfaction through on-time delivery and professional interaction. Provides timely transportation of products from origin to destination as assigned, unloading and staging products at customer's place of business, and maintains professional representation of the Company in all interactions with customers through responsible driving and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
Abide by all Company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations Assist in verification of all outgoing and incoming product for accuracy in terms of size, amount and type Collect payments from customers in monetary form acceptable to Company Efficiently unload cargo and stage products at customer’s place of business Ensure all administrative paperwork concerning delivery orders required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies delivery Maintain professional representation of the Company in all interactions with customers Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s logs, fuel purchase records, mileage records and other records required by law and Company policy Occasionally operate powered industrial vehicles (forklift pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) Timely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned Qualifications
High School or GED 1-2 years of related experience preferred Skills
Navigates Field Service Interactions Policy & Procedures Masters Service Conversations Service Into Sales Verbal Communication Equipment Utilization Health and Safety Physical Demands / Working Conditions
Physical demands: Occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds; ability to handle tires; various physical activities as described in job Work environment: Exposure to weather conditions; moderate noise level Travel: Approximately 75% of the time; no overnight stays (CDL drivers may have overnight stays) Our people are passionate about what they do, the product they sell, and the customers they serve.
