About Kindred Table Kindred Table is a chef‑inspired, New American restaurant opening inside the Crowne Plaza Lansing. Our name speaks to people who feel like family and the place where they gather. We’re building a place where warm hospitality meets bold, unfussy food made with care – a relaxed but intentional environment where guests feel welcomed and servers feel empowered to create great experiences.

and we’re looking for servers who want to help us create something special from day one.

The Role As part of our opening team, you’ll be one of the first people guests connect with. You’ll guide them through the menu, make thoughtful recommendations, deliver food and beverages with care, and help create the kind of moments that make people want to come back again and again.

What You’ll Do

Take guest orders and deliver food and drinks with accuracy, timing, and hospitality

Provide warm, genuine, people‑first service

Learn our menu and confidently guide guests through their options

Complete all required training

Help maintain a clean, organized dining room

Perform opening and closing duties (stocking, resetting, cleaning)

Monitor alcohol service responsibly, check IDs, and communicate concerns to leadership

Jump in wherever needed – because that’s what great teams do

Requirements – Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong problem‑solving and reasoning skills

Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Communication skills, written or verbal, in the primary language(s) used in the workplace

Basic reading, writing, and math

Ability to navigate necessary software and applications

Ability to comply with local laws regarding food handling and alcohol service; must be able to take and pass the ServSafe Alcohol Safety exam

Ability to engage with guests and colleagues

Other Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Must meet the minimum legal age to serve alcohol
