Representative Duties
Provide instruction in accordance with approved Imperial Valley College curriculum and course outlines as assigned based on the needs of the college.
Conduct classes, prepare courses, evaluate students, create course syllabi, and assess learning outcomes.
Maintain and submit accurate records (grades, syllabi, attendance reports) according to published deadlines.
Maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.
Advise students on academic matters.
Maintain competency in the field.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s in business, business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing, or business education.
OR Bachelor’s in any of the above.
AND Master’s in economics, personnel management, public administration, or Juris Doctor / Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.).
OR Bachelor’s in economics with a business emphasis.
AND Master’s in personnel management, public administration, or Juris Doctor / Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.).
OR equivalent qualifications.
Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socio‑economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
