Role Description This is a full-time on-site leadership role located in Brookings, SD, within the swine industry. Responsibilities include overseeing key aspects of swine herd management, ensuring adherence to best practices in animal health, nutrition, and productivity, and driving operational excellence. The role involves leading and mentoring teams, managing resources efficiently, and collaborating with farmers to ensure sustainable practices and success in farm operations.
Qualifications
Proven leadership abilities and experience in managing teams effectively
Strong knowledge of swine health, nutrition, and farm management practices
Proficiency in strategic planning, operational efficiency, and resource management
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills
Experience in the agricultural industry, particularly related to swine farming
Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred
Ability to work on‑site in Brookings, SD, and collaborate closely with farmers
Commitment to promoting sustainable farming practices and animal welfare
