Responsibilities
Cut meat for sale, using the cooler to access and portion products.
Answer questions and fill special orders to support guests.
Rotate and check code dates on products to ensure safety.
Wrap, maintain, and clean the meat case and cooking equipment.
Use proper food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Unload deliveries, check truck, and assist with cooler and freezer efficiency.
Provide active sampling opportunities when appropriate.
Qualifications
6 to 12 months experience or successful completion of the Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program.
Prior meat cutting experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Meat cutting certification required.
Up to 50 pounds lifting requirement.
