Location:
Liberty, NC
Compensation:
Starting at $17.00/hr + $1.75 shift differential (higher pay available based on experience)
Schedule:
3rd Shift, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Holiday pay eligibility begins on day one.
A Night in the Life As the production floor comes alive on third shift, you arrive at Americhem’s Liberty facility ready to launch the next run of color concentrates. You verify safety notices, stage materials, and dial in the extruder settings. Throughout the shift you monitor temperatures, feeds, and pelletizing operations, making precise adjustments to keep quality on target. You hop on a forklift to move color pots and load material to the feeder, pull compound samples for checks, complete preventive maintenance, and finish the night with a spotless, organized area and accurate production records.
What you will handle
Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion lines, including extruders, feeders, pelletizers, dies, scales, classifiers, and related instrumentation to meet specifications.
Adjust parameters to maintain throughput, quality, and consistency; produce compound samples and verify standards.
Perform basic preventive maintenance to ensure reliable machine performance.
Operate a forklift/tow motor to lift color pots and load materials into the feeder safely and accurately.
Follow SOPs, maintain production accuracy, and keep work areas clean and organized.
Champion safety practices and participate in safety programs to protect yourself and your team.
What you bring
High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of manufacturing or production experience strongly preferred.
Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting ability and solid math/analytical skills.
Experience operating a tow motor/forklift.
Dependable, self‑motivated, and comfortable working independently while following procedures.
