Summary
The porter is responsible for ensuring all key areas in the warehouse are clean and safe for customers and employees. This includes managing hazardous liquids, maintaining sanitation and cleaning logs, and ensuring cleaning equipment complies with HACCP guidelines. The porter may also perform additional tasks assigned by the branch manager such as minor paint touchups, cleaning wet pallets, and general lighting maintenance. Duties and Responsibilities
General sweeping of interior and exterior building premises. General cleaning and maintenance of all restrooms. Cleaning of windows, doors, and coffee area as needed. Maintenance of all trash containers on premises. Operation of trash compactor, cardboard baler, and floor scrubbing machine as needed. Cleaning spills in the warehouse. Cleaning employee break room per schedule. Assist with aisle cleaning alongside department managers. Verify HACCP guidelines and sanitation logs as outlined. Assist management with other assigned duties. Job Requirements
Good communication skills. Understanding of basic sanitation guidelines. Basic knowledge of operating floor machines, baler, and compactor. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Seniority level
